The Evening Wind-Down I Never Skip

Hero

My mornings get all the credit, but the evenings do the quiet work. The day ends the way the last hour is treated.

Lamps, legs, long breaths

Overhead lights off, lamps on. Legs up the wall for five minutes while the tea cools. Then a slow forward fold on the bed, and the phone left charging in another room like a well-fed pet.

None of it is impressive. All of it works.
